FRONT DIFFERENTIAL (MT MODEL) |
For MT vehicle, differential oil works as manual transmission oil to lubricate differential. Refer to “Transmission Oil”.
FRONT DIFFERENTIAL (AT MODEL) |
Drain the differential gear oil by removing drain plug using TORX ® BIT T70.

Before starting work, cool off the differential gear oil
well.

If front differential gear oil adheres to the exhaust pipe,
wipe it off completely.

Tightening torque:
70 Nm (7.1 kgf-m, 51.6 ft-lb)
Fill differential gear oil through the oil level gauge hole up to the upper point of level gauge.

Each oil manufacturer has its base oil and additives. Thus, do not mix two or more brands. |
Differential gear oil capacity:
1.1 — 1.3 litres (1.2 — 1.4 US qt, 1.0 — 1.1 lmp qt)

REAR DIFFERENTIAL |
Drain the oil by removing drain plug.
Remove the filler plug for quick draining oil.
Install the drain plug after draining oil.

Apply fluid packing to the drain plug threads. |
Fluid packing:
Three Bond 1105 (Part No. 32005014)
Tightening torque:
49.0 Nm (5.0 kgf-m, 36.2 ft-lb)
After installing the drain plug onto rear differential gear case firmly, fill oil up fully to the mouth of filler plug.
Recommended gear oil:
GL-5 (75W-90) or equivalent

0.8 litres (0.8 US qt, 0.7 lmp qt)

Install the filler plug onto rear differential gear case firmly.
