REMOVAL

REMOVAL

Set the vehicle on a lift.

Remove the front wheels.

Disconnect the ground cable from battery.


Disconnect the connector from mass air flow sensor.


Remove the air intake boot and air cleaner upper cover.


Remove the intercooler.

Remove the pitching stopper.


Remove the radiator upper brackets.


Support the engine with a lifting device and wire ropes.


Lift-up the vehicle.

Important

When lifting up the vehicle, rise up the wire rope together.


Remove the under cover.

Drain the engine oil.

Remove the nuts which install the front cushion rubber onto front crossmember.


Remove the bolts which install the oil pan on cylinder block while raising up engine.

Insert the oil pan cutter blade between cylinder block-to-oil pan clearance.

Important

Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool in place of oil pan cutter.



Remove the oil strainer.


Remove the baffle plate.
