CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH (AT MODEL)
CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH (AT MODEL) |
CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.Disconnect the inhibitor switch harness connector.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the curise control main switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between harness connector terminal and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(T7) No. 12 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
Is the voltage more than 10 V?
Yes |
No |
Check the harness for open or short between inhibitor switch and cruise control module.
CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH CIRCUIT.
Turn the curise control main switch and ignition switch to OFF.Disconnect the starter motor harness connector.
Measure the resistance between inhibitor switch harness connector terminal and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(T7) No. 7 — (B14) No. 1:
Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?
Yes |
No |
Repair the harness.
CHECK INHIBITOR SWITCH.
Remove and check the inhibitor switch.Is the inhibitor switch OK?
Yes |
Inhibitor switch circuit is OK.
No |
Replace the inhibitor switch.
