Cleaning agent for most materials to be glued with Loctite anaerobic products, such as thread locker, thread sealant and products for mounting bushings.

Transport

The product is classified as dangerous goods when transporting. Special regulations apply to packaging, marking and transport, therefore existing lead times cannot be guaranteed.

Directives

The product is extremely flammable. Dehydrates the skin. May be hazardous if inhaled after frequent and repeated exposure. Pressurized can. Must not be exposed to direct sunlight or temperatures above +50 ° C. Must not be punctured or burned. Also applies to empty can. Do not spray toward open flame or glowing materials. Must be stored separately from materials which may ignite the product - Smoking is prohibited. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Make sure ventilation is adequate.

3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

This product is highly flammable. Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed. The solvent defats the skin and may cause cracking and, in the event of repeated contact, eczema. Vapours may cause head aches and nausea.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation

Remove affected person to fresh air, and if still feeling unwell seek medical attention.

Skin

Wash skin with plenty of soap and water and apply replenishing cream.

Eyes

Flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth with water then give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice.



5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Fire/Explosions risks

This product is highly flammable having a flash point of -21°C. Keep unaffected containers cool with water spray.

Suitable extinguishing media

If product is involved in fire extinguish with dry powder, foam or carbon dioxide.

Protective equipment

Self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn when dealing with fire.



6. SPILLAGE/ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Ventilate area. Eliminate sources of ignition.

Methods for cleaning up

Confine the spillage with sand, earth or the like, and place in a closed container, which should be partially filled (air space), for disposal.

Use in well ventilated area. Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking. Vapours should be extracted to avoid inhalation. Prolonged or repeated skin contact should be avoided.

Inhalation

Inhalation of vapours may cause headaches or nausea.

Skin

Acute dermal LD50 (rabbit) is estimated to be >2000mg/kg. Solvent may remove essential oils from the skin making it susceptible to attack from other chemicals.

Eyes

May cause irritation to the eyes.

Ingestion

Small amounts of liquid aspirated into the respiratory system during ingestion or from vomiting may cause bronchopneumonia or pulmonary oedema. Ingestion of large quantities may cause liver or kidney damage.
