Remove the engine cover.
|
2.

Raise the car and remove the bottom cover.
|
3.
|
Position a suitable container under the radiator and drain the coolant. Loosen the expansion tank pressure cap to facilitate draining.

4.

Remove the coolant hoses from the thermostat housing.
|
5.
|
Remove the thermostat housing cover with thermostat.
|

Refit the thermostat cover including thermostat. Use a new gasket.
Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft).

Connect the hoses to the thermostat housing and fit the hose clamps.

3.
|
Fit the engine cover and the bottom cover.
|
4.
|
Fill coolant, check for system leaks and bleed as follows:

AC/ACC must be shut off.
|
Connect exhaust hoses to both engine exhaust system and auxiliary heater exhaust system and start the engine.
Start the parking heater with the diagnostic tool (Body, SID, Activate, Heater). The parking heater shuts off when the engine has reached 80°C or when the parking heater menu is exited.
Check that there is a continuous flow of coolant in the hose from the thermostat housing to the expansion tank. Rev up the engine briefly to ensure circulation of the liquid.
Run the engine until the thermostat has opened.
