Throttle position sensor

To remove

Remove the resonator above the throttle body.

Remove the hose to the crankcase ventilation and the IAC- valve with hoses.

Unplug the connector, remove both retaining bolts and remove the sensor. Note the O-ring.

To fit

Make sure the O-ring is seated correctly and position the sensor on the throttle spindle. Tighten the retaining bolts.

Plug in the connector and connect the IAC-valve with hoses and the hose for the crankcase ventilation.

Fit the resonator. Note the condition and seating of the O-ring. Leakage of air must not occur.

Important
During assembly the O-rings between the resonating chamber and throttle body may be incorrectly positioned with the result that the engine takes in air that has not passed through the mass air flow sensor. This could impair driveability with consequent fault diagnosis measures.
When any work is done that involves removing the resonating chamber from the throttle body, the following steps must always be taken:
•	The O-ring and its seating should be checked. Replace any O-rings that are deformed.
•	Grease the O-ring with non-acidic petroleum jelly (vaseline).
