Throttle cable

Throttle cable

To remove



1. Remove the cover from the accelerator position sensor and unhook the throttle cable from the cam.

2. Cut away the fasteners securing the throttle cable.

3. Remove the bottom of the dashboard and unhook the throttle cable from the accelerator.


4. Make a note of and remove the throttle cable fastener, and unto the clip.

5. Hold on to the plastic sleeve and pull the throttle cable through the bulkhead out into the engine compartment.


To fit



1. Insert the wire through the bulkhead.

Important

Make sure that the plastic sleeve is completely through the bulkhead.


2. Hook the throttle cable onto the accelerator.

Important

Make sure that the bushing is securely attached to the accelerator.


3. Hook the throttle cable onto the cam and fit the clip.

4. Secure the cable and adjust it by turning the adjusting screw until the position sensor cam begins to move. Then turn back the adjusting screw one half turn.

5. Refit the cover over the accelerator position sensor.


6. Fit the bottom lower section of the dashboard.
