Ignition discharge module, replacement of spring

To remove



1. Unplug the connector.

2. Remove the 4 bolts.

3. Lift up the module.

4. Turn the ignition discharge module upside down and remove the 8 screws.


5. Lift off the black lower section of the ignition discharge module.

6. Change the spring by prising out the old one with a screwdriver.


To fit



1. Fit the spring.

2. Fit the black lower section of the ignition discharge module and tighten the screws.

3. Apply Krytox, part no. 30 19 312, to the rubber seal. Fit the module on the engine and tighten the bolts.


Tightening torque: 11 Nm (8.1 lbf ft)

4. Plug in the connector.
