Checking boost pressure (on the road)

Important

The engine should be thoroughly warmed up.

1.	Connect the diagnostics tool.

2.	Select EDC, Read Values, Charge Air Absolute Pressure.

3.	Carry out wide open throttle acceleration in 3rd gear at an engine speed below 1500 rpm. When engine speed reaches about 2700 rpm and boost pressure is stabilized, note the reading on the diagnostics instrument. It should be between 19 kPa and 21 kPa.

4.	Remove the diagnostic tool and adjust the wastegate pushrod. See Basic setting of the pressure regulator, turbo .
