Condition
The following condition applies to the fault symptom described:

No diagnostic trouble codes in the car having the symptom described.

In addition, the following conditions must be fulfilled for the CANCEL function in the cruise control module to be activated:
•

Pin B (2): approx. 12 V
|
•
|
Pin C (3): approx. 12 V
|
Diagnostic help
The cruise control switch and the clutch and brake pedals are used when diagnosing fault. On cars with automatic transmission, the cruise control switch, the brake pedal and the selector lever are used.
Fault diagnosis is carried out in diagnostics mode (see points 1-3 in the table on page
). Start fault diagnosis at point 4 and work your way through the entire fault diagnosis procedure step by step up to point 17.
Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points to reveal any intermittent open or short circuits. Observe the multimeter, diagnostics tool or test lamp during the test.
