Replacement of distributor and rotor, MOTRONIC

To remove
1.
|
Remove the distributor cap and
unplug the Hall sensor connector.
|
2.
|
Undo the bolt securing the distributor.
|
3.
|
Withdraw the distributor.
|
To fit
Important
|
On refitting, rotate the distributor shaft until the drive dog engages
the slot in the camshaft (the slot is offset).
|
|
In other respects, refit in reverse order.
To remove
1.
|
Remove the distributor cap
|
2.
|
Remove the rotor by crushing it using a pair of slip-joint pliers.
Important
|
Make sure that no pieces of the crushed rotor fall into the
distributor.
|
|
|
To fit
When fitting the new rotor, make sure that it is firmly locked
onto the distributor shaft. Use Loctite 601
or the equivalent.
