The gauge can be activated using the diagnostic tool.Information on engine speed is sent to the bus from EDC 15 and can be read by the diagnostic tool.
Check wiring harness.
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits in the leads.
