Disconnecting the glass breakage sensor
Disconnecting the glass breakage sensor |
To avoid false alarms, e.g. if an animal (or a child) is left in the car, the glass breakage sensor can be disconnected.
Disconnection |
Disconnection is accomplished (key must be removed from the ignition) by pressing in the NIGHT PANEL button for a few seconds. The tilt sensor is also disconnected. The glass breakage sensor is automatically disconnected on the convertible model if the car is armed with the soft top lowered (open).
Disconnection is confirmed with the message DOOR ALARM ONLY on the SID. The car must then be locked within 3 minutes if the disconnection is to be valid when the alarm is armed.
Connection |
Disconnection is cancelled the next time the car is unlocked or when NIGHT PANEL is pressed again. FULL THEFT ALARM will then be displayed on the SID.
Important | ||
If a fault occurs in the glass breakage sensor, the CHECK message SERVICE THEFT ALARM appears on the SID display. |
