Bleeding the hydraulic clutch system in the car

1. Unscrew the cap on the brake fluid reservoir.


2. Top up with brake fluid if necessary.

3. Open the bleeder nipple.

4. Connect 88 19 096 Bleeding equipment to the bleed nipple.


5. Apply compressed air to the bleeder tool and bleed the clutch until fluid appears at the nipple.

6. Tighten the bleed nipple and remove the bleeding tool.

7. Fit 30 05 451 Adapter, cooling system tester on the brake fluid reservoir. Use two sealing rings 10-45 43 997 so that the cover is tight.

8. Hold the brake bleeder hose against the nipple and bleed the reservoir for about 1 min or as long as air bubbles rise to the surface.

9. Check the function of the clutch and top up with brake fluid to the correct level.

10. Refit all components.
