Replacing brake hoses

To remove

Warning

When fitting new brake hoses, it is important that they are in the correct position so that they do not come in contact with other parts of the car during suspension and steering movement. Hoses must not be twisted (entwined). The front brake hoses must be fitted while the wheels are suspended freely and pointing straight ahead.

1. Depress the brake pedal with a brake pedal clamp.

2. Lift the car and remove the wheel on the side on which the hose is to be replaced.

3. Undo the connection on the brake caliper and separate the connection between the brake pipe and the brake hose. Plug the brake pipe.

4. Release the clip and remove the hose.
