Calibration

Calibration

The stepping motors do not need to be recalibrated to the control module (position sensor). By sending out a definite number of pulses, the control module always knows how far a damper has moved. The condition is that the control module has calibrated itself by turning the dampers to respective end positions so that the control module knows the positions of the dampers.

Calibration is done by simultaneously pressing the AUTO and OFF buttons, and it takes about 30 seconds. Calibration must be performed if the battery has been removed/discharged, if the ACC unit or a stepping motor has been replaced, or its position has been altered. As the calibration is being done, the ACC runs through a self-check.

Calibration is done automatically directly following ignition turn-on in the following cases:

New ACC is installed.

+30 interrupted earlier than 10 minutes from the last time ignition was turned off (common in connection with battery replacement, for example).

Diagnosis

During calibration, a number of stored diagnostic trouble codes are shown on the display instead of the temperature. The codes numbered from 0-23 are shown for 3 seconds each. The number of diagnostic trouble codes is displayed using the fan bars. A maximum of six trouble codes can be stored at any time.
