Auto

All functions are controlled automatically. When the AUTO button is pressed again, the display is changed between the basic and full display. This selection is stored in memory and is then used during continued driving, until it is removed. The basic display shows settings for AUTO, temperature, electrically heated rear window/door mirrors, ECON and recirculation while full display shows all settings including AUTO, temperature, ventilation fan, air distribution, electrically heated rear window, OFF, ECON and recirculation.

ECON, electrically heated rear window/door mirrors, recirculation and temperature up or down can be selected without leaving AUTO mode.

Temperature up or down

Selection of inside temperature in increments of one degree Celsius between +15˚C and +27˚C or in increments of two degrees Fahrenheit between +58˚F and +82˚F.

If a temperature over +27˚C (+82˚F) is selected, “HI” in the display as the selected temperature. Similarly, “LO” is displayed if a temperature under +15˚C (+58˚F) is selected.

When the ignition is turned on, the last selected value is always used.

The recommended setting is 21 ± 3˚C or 70 ± 6˚F. The unit depends on what is set in SID.

If a value higher than 27˚C (82˚F) is selected, “HI” is displayed and the system is set as follows:

Fan current 18 A

Air distribution in position defrost/floor

Air mixture to position max heat

Recirculation in position OFF

Full display

If a value lower than 15˚C (58˚F) is selected, “LO” is displayed and the system is set as follows:

Fan current 25.5 A

A/C ON (ECON OFF)

Air distribution in position panel

Air mixture in position max cold

Recirculation ON

Full display

Adjusting

Using the diagnostics tool, the ACC unit can be adjusted to:

Increase or decrease the temperature compared to the one set on the display.

Increase the fan speed more than normally for a short period of time if the selected temperature is changed.

Note

The cabin temperature is always controlled so that the experienced temperature matches the set temperature. This means that a thermometer normally shows a value that differs from the set temperature.

Defrost

The system is set according to the following:

Fan current 18 A

A/C ON (ECON OFF)

Air distribution in position defrost

Normal temperature control

Recirculation in position OFF
