1. Mount the car in an alignment bench with measuring fixture and cross-measure as necessary.

2. Drill out the spot-welds.


3. Knock away the side panel and align any deformed metal. Keep the lower edge in front of the wheel housing and use it as a template when drilling holes in the new side panel for plug welding.

4. Drill holes in the new side panel for plug welding.

5. Grind clean the surfaces to be welded on the new side panel.

6. Grind clean the surfaces that are to be welded on the body.

7. Apply welding primer on the surfaces to be spot-welded. Use Teroson Zinkspray.

8. Put the side panel in place and secure it with a couple of welding clamps.

9. Put the boot lid in place and adjust the side panel.

10. Remove the boot lid. Spot and plug weld on the side panel.


11. Grind the welds.

12. Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.

13. Apply primer to all ground surfaces. Use Standox 1K Primer.

14. Seal joints and sheet metal flanges with sealant. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.

15. Apply anti-corrosion agent to internal surfaces after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
