Lock, tailgate

To remove



1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the tailgate trim (5 clips, 4 bolts), see Service Manual 8:2 Interior equipment.

3. Remove the push rods for the lock (2 clips) and leave them suspended in the plastic hinge respective door handle. Also unplug the connector for the lock.

4. Remove the retainer bolts from the lock (3 bolts).

5. Remove the door lock by carefully lifting it out.


To fit



1. Fit the tailgate lock.

2. Tighten the three retainer bolts for the lock.

3. Fasten the three push rods to the lock (2 clips). Plug in the connector.

4. Fit the tailgate trim (5 clips, 4 bolts), see Service Manual, 8:2 Interior equipment.
