Emblem, tailgate

The emblem is supplied as a spare part in a package comprised of a frame with transparent window and a protective tape backing. The following directions indicate how the emblem should be mounted. Use the frame as a template when measuring to find the position for the emblem on the tailgate.

Removing

Protect the paintwork with tape around the emblem. Use a steel spatula and prise carefully under the emblem.

Fitting


First wash the area where the emblem is to be mounted with pure benzene.

Note

The emblems and the car must be at room temperature (approximately 20°C) before the emblems can be mounted.



1. Remove the protective tape backing from the emblem and leave the emblem in the frame.

2. Position the frame according to earlier measurements as shown in the illustration and mount the SAAB-emblem.

3. Position the frame and mount the 9-3-emblem.
