To remove |

Remove the door seal from the B-pillar.

Remove the trim from the B-pillar and pull it down along the seatbelt.

Remove the sill scuff plate.
|
4. |
Fold up the seat cushion in the rear seat.
|
5. |
Fold the backrest cushion forwards and remove the rear clip holding the side trim.
|
6. |
Fold up the backrest cushion. Remove the remaining clips and lift out the side trim.
|
7. |
Remove the seal around the tailgate opening from the C-pillar.
|
8. |
Remove the C-pillar trim by the side window.
|
9. |
Fold down the headlining by the side window.
|
10. |
Remove the nuts securing the side window.
|
11. |
Attach a lifting handle to the outside of the window.
|
12. |
Get assistance from a co-worker. Press and pull out the side window. Cut the butyl tape sealing the side window with a knife as the window loosens. Be careful not to damage the paintwork or side window plastic embedment. Use safety glasses and work gloves.

To fit |

Remove the butyl tape from the body. If the old window is to be refitted, the butyl tape on the window must also be removed.

2. |
Apply new butyl tape to the side window as shown in the illustration. Use butyl tape part no. (45) 30 16 755.

3. |
Fit the window and tighten the nuts.
Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2.2 lbf ft) |
4. |
Refit the headlining.

5. |
Refit the C-pillar trim.
|
6. |
Fit the seal around the tailgate opening.
|
7. |
Refit the side trim and press on the clips.
|
8. |
Fold the backrest cushion forwards and fit the rear clip.
|
9. |
Fold up the backrest cushion.
|
10. |
Refit the sill scuff plate.
|
11. |
Refit the B-pillar trim.
|
12. |
Fit the door seal on the B-pillar.
