Position the car on a lift.

Drain refrigerant from the A/C system, see .

3. |
Remove the multi-grooved V-belt from the compressor.
|
4. |
Remove the A/C pipes' PAD-connection.
|
5. |
Plug the A/C pipes.
|
6. |
Raise the car.
|
7. |
Unplug the compressor electric connector.
|
8. |
Remove the air shield in front of the wheel housing.
|
9. |
Remove the three retaining bolts and remove the A/C compressor.

Fitting |

Adjust the oil level in the compressor, see .

2. |
Fit the A/C compressor and tighten the three retaining bolts.
Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 lbf ft) |

Lubricate the two new O-rings with synthetic vaseline. Remove the plugs from the compressor and the pipes. Fit the new O-rings.

4. |
Fit the A/C pipes PAD-connection.
|
5. |
Plug in the electric connector.
|
6. |
Fit the multi-grooved V-belt.
|
7. |
Refit the air shield in front of the wheel housing.
|
8. |
Lower the car.
|
9. |
Tighten the A/C pipes PAD-connection.
Tightening torque 39 Nm (29 lbf ft) |
10. |
Vacuum pump the A/C system and fill refrigerant, see .
