Oxygen sensor 1

To remove



1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Detach the turbo delivery pipe.

3. Unplug the sensor cable.

4. Note the position of the cable and clips/cable ties before detaching the cable. The cables must not be twisted together.

5. Raise the car and remove the oxygen sensor.


To fit

Important

The oxygen sensor threads must be coated with Molycote 1000 or equivalent before fitting.



1. Fit the oxygen sensor.


Tightening torque: 55 Nm (40 lbf ft)

2. Lower the car and mount the cables (must not be twisted)

Important

Chemicals such as contact spray and grease must not come into contact with the oxygen sensor connectors.


3. Connect the cable to the oxygen sensor

4. Fit the turbo delivery pipe.

5. Fit the engine cover.




Important

It is important that the cable is located correctly to prevent it making contact with the exhaust/turbocharger.
