Read the instructions below then start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lamp on. Inferior driveability. Basic charging pressure only. Perhaps other DTCs (misfiring, closed loop, boost pressure control). A/C compressor not working. Turbo/APC gauge indicates implausible values.

Fault symptoms
CHECK ENGINE lamp on. Inferior driveability. Basic charging pressure only. Perhaps other DTCs (misfiring, closed loop, boost pressure control). A/C compressor not working. Turbo/APC gauge indicates implausible values.Conditions
P0106:• P1171, P1172, P0171 or P0172 generated.
• >200 sec. since start of closed loop.
• Vehicle speed >20 km/h.
• Engine speed 1500-2500 rpm.
• Engine coolant temperature >70C (158F).
• Intake pressure 38-80 kPa.
• AC not active
• Intake pressure differs more than 15 kPa from that calculated on throttle position and intake temperature.
P0107: Ignition ON: <10 kPa for 2 sec. with large throttle angle
P0108: Ignition ON: >245 kPa for 2 sec. with small throttle angle
Diagnostic help
• |
Turbo/APC gauge is electric and shows pressure sensor reading
|
• |
The function of the pressure sensor can be read with the diagnostic tool. Turn the ignition key to ON and then back to OFF.
|
- |
Connect the diagnostic tool.
|
- |
Select "
Data Display / Output Control (New)".
|
- |
Select "
Intake Pressure".
the diagnostic tool should read approx. 102 kPa. (NB! The reading depends on the air pressure) |
- |
Engine idling.
|
The diagnostic tool should indicate 40- 60 kPa if the pressure sensor is in working order.
Checking the wiring harness. Intermittent faults may occur in connection with short circuits and open circuits. Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to locate any problems in the wiring, including intermediate connectors. Observe the multimeter, scan tool or test lamp during the check.
