Checking bypass valve (B235R)

/ 9-3 (9400) / 1999 / 2. Engine / Turbocharger system, petrol / Adjustment/replacement / Checking bypass valve (B235R)

1.	Disconnect the vacuum hose from the bypass valve.

2.	Connect pressure/vacuum pump, part no. 30 14 883, and create a vacuum in the valve.

3.	Make sure the diaphragm is undamaged. If it is, it will not hold the vacuum.

4.	Repeat steps 2 and 3, this time creating positive pressure.

5.	Disconnect the pump.

6.	Connect the vacuum hose.
