LED (Light Emitting Diode)
LED (Light Emitting Diode) |
General |
As a check for the theft alarm, an LED is mounted in the centre of the dashboard. The LED flashes at varying frequencies or lights continuously depending on the different conditions. The table on the next page shows some normal cases.
Function |
The LED is supplied via +30 from fuse 25 (22a) and grounded via pin 27 on the TWICE control module. TWICE controls the grounding and hence activation of the LED and its flash frequency.
Self-diagnosis |
Whenever the alarm is armed, a self-diagnosis is carried out during the delay time (10 seconds) while the LED is lit continuously. If a fault is found, a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in the control module and the LED does not flash. The other functions of the alarm are not affected.
