Remove the brake disc.

Remove the return spring on the rear.
|
|
| 3. |
Press out the cable holder out of the bracket and remove the cable from the lever.
|

Use
89 95 607 Brake spring tool
to remove the return springs and
89 96 647 Tool, removing handbrake spring
to the retaining pin.

| 5. |
Remove the brake shoes, lever and adjustment.
|
|
| 6. |
Check the wear of the levers and the adjusting unit.

| To fit |
| 1. |
Position the brake shoes, lever and adjusting nut on the shield.
|
|
| 2. |
Use
89 96 647 Tool, removing handbrake spring
to fit the springs to the retaining pin and
89 95 607 Brake spring tool
for the upper and lower return springs.

| 4. |
Hook the cable onto the lever, fit the cable in the cable holder and fit the return spring.
|
|
| 5. |

Fit the wheels.
