Raise the car and remove the wheel.

Remove the anti-roll bar nut, washer and rubber bush.

3. |
Undo the ball joint nut.
Press out the ball joint using 89 96 696 Puller . Remove the nut from the ball joint. |
4. |
Remove the screw that attaches the stanchion to the suspension arm.

5. |
Remove the screw to the stanchion mounting in the suspension arm.
Pull the lower spacer sleeve out of the hole. |
6. |
Remove the stanchion. Use a crowbar.

7. |
Press out the bush with
87 90 487 Press sleeve, differential bearing
, use
87 90 859 Press sleeve
for support.

Press the bush into the stanchion with
87 90 487 Press sleeve, differential bearing
, use
87 90 859 Press sleeve
for support.

3. |
Turn the stanchion to its correct position and insert the screw that attaches the stanchion to the suspension arm.
|
4. |
Tighten the screw to the stanchion mounting in the suspension arm.
Tightening torque: 110 Nm +75° (81 lbf ft +75°). |
5. |
Tighten the screw that attaches the stanchion to the suspension arm.
Tightening torque 92 Nm (68 lbf ft). |
6. |
Fit the ball joint nut.
Tightening torque 75 Nm (55 lbf ft) |
7. |
Fit the anti-roll bar rubber bush, washer and nut.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft). |

Fit the wheel, see
Wheels
.
Tightening torque: 110 Nm (81 lbf ft). |
9. |
Lower the car to the floor.
