When the airbag is triggered, combustion residues are released in the form of dust particles that may contain traces of caustic soda.

Put the airbag envelope in a tight-sealing plastic bag when it has been removed. Remember that the airbag's gas generator will be extremely hot immediately after the airbag has detonated.

Thoroughly clean all interior surfaces of the car with a vacuum cleaner.

Wash your hands with soap and water after handling a detonated airbag.
