Symptom: Experienced temperature in cabin is too high or low when compared to set temperature.
Heater box solenoid. Shorted to B+
Heater box solenoid. Open circuit/shorted to ground
Fault symptom
Experienced temperature in cabin is too high or low when compared to set temperature.
Conditions
The following conditions apply:

Shorted to B+ is indicated when the output for the heater box solenoid is activated and the voltage on pin 24 exceeds 6 V.

Measured every 440 ms and 5 measurements in a row are required to generate a diagnostic trouble code.
|
|
•
|
The diagnostic trouble code is erased after ignition has been switched on 20 times if the problem conditions have not been fulfilled.
|
|
•
|
The output is closed when the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
