Place the car in an alignment bench and cross-measure as necessary.

Drill out the spot-welds inside.
|

Drill out the spot-welds outside.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the abutment and align any damaged sheet metal or panels.
|
|
| 5. |
Drill holes for plug-welding in the spare part.
|
|
| 6. |
Grind clean the surfaces to be welded on the body and spare part.
|

| 7. |
Apply welding primer on the surfaces to be spot-welded. Use Teroson Zinkspray.

| 8. |
Fit the new abutment and fixate with a few welding clamps.
|
|
| 9. |
Fit the bumper, close the tailgate and check the fit of the abutment.
|

| 10. |
Spot weld the outside of the rear bumper abutment.
|
|
| 11. |
Plug weld the inside of the rear bumper abutment.
|
|
| 12. |
Grind the welds.
|
|
| 13. |
Remove remaining welding primer. Welding primer will reduce adhesion for paint, filler and sealant.
|
|
| 14. |
Apply primer to all ground surfaces. Use Standox 1K Primer.
|

| 15. |
Seal joints and sheet metal flanges with sealant. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
|
|
| 16. |
Apply PVC substitute on the underside of the abutment. Use Terostat 9320.
