Reinforcements


The body is reinforced in the areas that are most exposed in the event of a collision. Some of this reinforcement is also made in High-strength steel . Circled areas are especially vulnerable and require special care during repair work.


1. Outside of front wheel housing

2. Lower part of A-pillar

3. Upper part of A-pillar

4. Junction plate on the inside of the A-pillar

5. Door sill

6. Bulkhead in door sill

7. B-pillar

8. Upper part of side panel

Important

Body reinforcements must only be cut and joined if they are specifically covered in the description of the methods. Unless otherwise stated, it is mandatory to discard and replace the damaged reinforcement component.
