Background

The top rear corner of the door weather seal may fit poorly on certain cars. The lip on the door seal may not fit the radius on the B-pillar trim, which can give rise to a gap of up to 15 mm in the lip. The following measures should be taken after customer complaint.

There are two different procedures, A and B, depending on the model year and VIN.

Parts required

51 17 411 Door weather seal, LH, with a white mark in the centre of the radius. (CA: 30580128)

51 17 429 Door weather seal, RH, with a blue mark in the centre of the radius. (CA: 30580129)

43 33 589 Plastic plug (CA: 30550507)

Important

White colour marking signifies left door weather seal.

Blue colour marking signifies right door weather seal.
