Cleaning of brake pads, rear

Rear brakes
|

|
Remove the brake pads. If they offer resistance, use special tool 89 95 771.
|
|
•
|
Clean the surfaces between the brake pads and brake caliper. Also inspect the dust covers.
|
|
•
|
Apply a thin layer of PBC copper grease, part no. (16)-30 07 457 or (16)-30 07 481 to brake pad and brake caliper contact surfaces.
|
|
•
|
Refit all components that have been removed.
|
Important
|
|
Pump the brake pedal to advance the brake pistons.
|
|
|
Tightening torque, wheel bolts: 110 Nm (81 lbf ft)
