Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lamp comes on, high idling speed

P0122, P0123


Throttle Position Sensor Circuit. Short to Ground.

Throttle Position Sensor Circuit. Short to B+ / Open circiut.


Fault symptoms

CHECK ENGINE lamp comes on, high idling speed

Conditions

Voltage less then 0.1 Volt

or

Voltage greater then 4.8 Volts

Note

If the throttle position sensor function declines, the control module will accept a signal that is equivalent to approx. 35% throttle opening.
