Fault symptoms

Engine will not start, running problems, misfiring

Conditions

The control module registers more then 20 signals from the camshaft position sensor without receiving a signal from the crankshaft position sensor during the same time.

or

The control module registers the wrong number of ribs on the slotted ring for 2 consecutive revolutions at more than 1000 rpm
