To remove


In order to avoid unnecessary fuel spillage during the operation, the fuel system can be run dry in the following way: start the engine and remove fuse 32 while the engine is running. Turn off the ignition once the engine has stopped.


1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Detach the crankcase ventilation hose and the idle speed control valve connector and hoses.

3. Remove the dipstick bracket and the accelerator and cruise control wires.

4. Remove the 2 screws for the cable channel and the 2 bolts for the fuel rail


5. Carefully lift up the fuel rail with injectors. Keep a piece of paper or something else handy to wipe up the fuel that runs out of the fuel rail/injectors.

6. Remove the two locating rails and unplug the injector connectors.

7. Remove the retaining clips securing the injectors to the fuel rail and pull out the injectors.


To fit



1. Fit the injectors and retaining clips to the fuel rail.

2. Fit the locating rails and plug in the injector connectors.

3. Carefully fit the fuel rail with injectors and plug in the connectors.

Important

Make sure the correct connector is plugged onto the correct injector (indicated by the markings on the cables).


4. Fit the dipstick bracket, accelerator wire and cruise control wire.


5. Fit the idle speed control valve with hoses and the hose to the crankcase ventilation.

6. Fit the engine cover.
