High fuel consumption in SID |
Cars affected |
Saab 9-3 (3D/5D) with Trionic T7, M00 up to and including VIN Y2016297
Saab 9-3 CV with Trionic T7, M00 up to and including VIN Y7004524
Background |
The value for the average fuel consumption may increase after turning the ignition off and on.
The Trionic control module sends the current fuel consumption via the I-bus to the main instrument unit. When the ignition is turned off, the control module continues to send the value until it intakes its rest state (20 min). Under certain circumstances, an “old” value may be activated on the bus when the ignition is turned on and this will increase the value by 2.5 litres. This will affect the average fuel consumption that is displayed depending on how far the car has been driven since it was last reset.
Procedure |
Connect Tech2.
Select MIU (Main Instrument Unit), Adjustment and change Fuel Consumption Factor from +4 to 0.
