Remote control
| Remote control |
When retrofitting an anti-theft alarm, another 2 remote controls are needed. Remote control can also be retrofitted on cars without anti-theft alarm.
There are three versions of the remote control with different transmitting frequencies and ranges.

The remote control is also available integrated with the key. Only the version with a separate key is illustrated in the technical description.
| Function |
Point the remote control towards the car. When a button is pressed, the remote control sends a control signal which is received by the remote control receiver unit. The range is approx. 8 metres.
The signal from the remote control is a fixed identification code (each remote control has its own code) and a “rolling code” which is changed each time a button is pressed.
| Control buttons on the remote control |
| LOCK | Used to lock the car with the central locking and arm the anti-theft alarm. |
| UNLOCK | Used to unlock the car with the central locking and disarm the anti-theft alarm. |
| BOOT LID/TAILGATE | Used to unlock the luggage compartment only and disarm the tailgate. |

   | Transport |
The remote control does not function when the car is being transported.
| Security |
The number of codes received per second which are sent by the remote control is limited to 10 to prevent code grabbing.
