Brake light switch
Brake light switch |
The brake light switch supplies the control module and the shift-lock relay with information.
Depressing the brake pedal will activate the brake light switch and send information to control module pin 36, which will disengage the lock-up function if the engine speed is below 2000 rpm. Activation puts B+ on pin 36.
The shift-lock function mechanically locks the gear lever in the P position when the engine is being started. Depressing the brake pedal checks the shift-lock relay and releases the mechanical lock.
