To remove |

Viggen RHD:
Remove the stay between the strut towers.

2. |
Drain the brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir. Use special tool
88 19 096 Brake bleeder
.

3. |
Place a sheet of paper or a cloth under the master cylinder.
|
4. |
Disconnect the brake pipes and plug the connections.
|
5. |
Remove the two master cylinder retaining nuts and lift out the master cylinder.
|
6. |
Transfer the brake fluid reservoir to the new master cylinder.
Viggen LHD: Put the adapter plate and angle bracket on to the new cylinder. |
To fit |
1. |
Fit the master cylinder to the brake servo unit and tighten the retaining nuts.

2. |
Connect the brake pipes. Remove the paper or cloth from under the master cylinder.
|
3. |
Fill with the brake fluid reservoir with brake fluid.
|
4. |
Bleed the brake system. See

.

5. |
Check the function by depressing the brake pedal. Check the tightness of the brake pipe connections as well.
|
6. |
Viggen RHD:
Fit the stay between the strut towers.
|
7. |
Check the function of the brakes.
