Replacement of handbrake shoes

| To remove | 
| 1. | Remove the brake disc. | |
| 2. | Remove the return spring on the rear. | |
| 3. | Press out the cable holder out of the bracket and remove the cable from the lever. | |
| 4. | Use
       
        89 95 607 Brake spring tool
       
       to remove the return springs and
       
        89 96 647 Tool, removing handbrake spring
       
       to the retaining pin.   | |
| 5. | Remove the brake shoes, lever and adjustment. | |
| 6. | Check the wear of the levers and the adjusting unit. | |
| To fit | 
 
   
   | 1. | Position the brake shoes, lever and adjusting nut on the shield. | |
| 2. | Use
       
        89 96 647 Tool, removing handbrake spring
       
       to fit the springs to the retaining pin and
       
        89 95 607 Brake spring tool
       
       for the upper and lower return springs. | |
| 3. | Fit the brake disc, see Brakes, Brake discs and pads, Adjustment and replacement  . | |
| 4. | Hook the cable onto the lever, fit the cable in the cable holder and fit the return spring.   | |
| 5. | Adjust the handbrake. See

| 6. | Fit the wheels.
       
        Wheels
