W7051207-Y7002066 (CV not including Viggen)

Up to and including Y7001512 (Viggen)

Background

In connection with the introduction of the larger spare wheel, a label was produced to be affixed to the left-hand B-pillar. This label proved to be incorrect. In addition to this, the label that was used to inform about the compact spare wheel continued to be affixed in the luggage compartment despite the fact that the car was equipped with the larger spare wheel.

Parts required

51 72 564 Spare wheel label (all but the Viggen)

52 32 343 Spare wheel label (Viggen)

Procedure

Before starting the procedure, check to see if there is a spare wheel label positioned on the right-hand B- pillar as shown in the illustration on page 1. If there is a label to be found then the car has been rectified, if there is no label to be found there, proceed as follows:

1. Clean the area using a fuel based cleaning agent and then affix the new spare wheel label on the right-hand B-pillar as shown in the illustration. The label must be fitted parallel with the inner plate edge, it must not be positioned on the curved surface.

A = 3D/CV

Important

If a modification identity plate is fitted in this place, the spare wheel label must be fitted on the flat surface above the lock end plate.

B = 5D

2. Open the boot lid/tailgate. Lift the luggage compartment floor and check by the rear right load retainer eye if there is a label to be found informing about the compact spare wheel. If a label is found there it must be removed.

Clean away any remains of adhesive with a fuel based cleaning agent.

3. Lift back the luggage compartment floor and close the boot lid/tailgate.

4. Open the front left door and remove the label informing about the larger spare wheel. The label is positioned on the B-pillar.

Important

Do not remove the air pressure sticker.

Clean away any remains of adhesive with a fuel based cleaning agent.
