| Removing | 
| 1. | Run the soft top so that the fifth bow and the soft top cover are completely raised.   | |
| 2. | Remove the covering shell.   | |
| 3. | Connect the diagnostics tool and operate the fifth bow latch motor to half open position (soft top cover access flap is half open) using the command: “STC” “Activate” “5th bow latch motor ” “Up” | |
| 4. | Protect the rear panels and the boot lid. Fit the protection under the soft top cover, the motor can easily fall onto the boot lid. | |
| 5. | Remove the operating arms from the fifth bow latch motor.   | |
| 6. | Unplug the connector. | |
| 7. | Remove the bolts securing the motor and hold one hand under the motor when the last bolt is removed. Lift away the motor. | |
| Fitting | 
 
    
    | 1. | Fit the latch motor and tighten the bolts. Respective collision cable end sleeves pointing at each other. Fit new cable ties. Tightening torque, two upper bolts: 14 Nm (10.3 lbf ft) Two lower bolts: 7 Nm (5.2 lbf ft) | |
| 2. | Fit the operating arms to the motor. | |
| 3. | Plug in the connector. | |
| 4. | Run the soft top up and down a few times and check the function. | |
| 5. | Refit the shell.   | |
| 6. | Adjust the lock function. See

| 7. | Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any diagnostic trouble code. | |
| 8. | Remove the protection and run the soft top to closed position and lock it against the windscreen frame. | |
