Rear quarter light
| Rear quarter light | 
The rear quarter light is fastened to the body with screws and sealed with butyl tape.
| To remove | 
| 1. | Remove the weatherstrip from the C-pillar.   | |
| 2. | Remove the upholstery around the rear quarter light. | |
| 3. | Remove the nuts that secure the window.   | |
| 4. | Attach a lifting handle to the outside of the window.   | |
| 5. | Get assistance from a co-worker. Press and pull out the side window. Cut the butyl tape sealing the side window with a knife as the window loosens. Be careful not to damage the paintwork or side window plastic embedment. Use safety glasses and work gloves. | |
| To fit | 
| 1. | Remove the butyl tape from the body. If the old window is to be refitted, the butyl tape on the window must also be removed. | |
| 2. | Apply new butyl tape to the side window as shown in the illustration. Use butyl tape part nr (45) 30 16 755.   | |
| 3. | Fit the window and tighten the nuts.   Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2.2 lbf ft) | |
| 4. | Refit the upholstery around the rear quarter light.   | |
| 5. | Refit the weatherstrip on the C-pillar. | |
