Symptom: Electrically heated rear window, electrically heated door mirrors. Malfunction.

Relay, electrically heated rear window, door mirrors. Open circuit/shorted to ground.

Relay, electrically heated rear window, door mirrors. Shorting to B+.




Fault symptoms

Electrically heated rear window, electrically heated door mirrors. Malfunction.

Conditions

The control module output is monitored and a diagnostic trouble code generated for the following:


• Open circuit/shorted to ground

• Shorted to B+


Diagnostic trouble codes are not generated at voltages below 11 V nor in connection with diagnostics communication.

The control module output can be activated with the diagnostics instrument.
