Diagnostic trouble codes


Delete any diagnostic trouble codes in all the car's control modules. When Tech 2 is turned on, a short self-test is started. A screen is then displayed with the heading “TECH 2” and the Saab logotype. Press “ENTER” to reach the “Main Menu”. From the “Main Menu” the desired function can be selected.


• Connect the Tech 2 diagnostic tool to the data link connector under the steering wheel.

• Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

• Select Diagnostics

• Specify the desired model year

• Specify the desired vehicle type

• Select All

• Select Read/Delete all diagnostic trouble codes

• Diagnostic Strategy. Press OK

• Select Delete all diagnostic trouble code information

• Terminate communication between Tech 2 and the car by pressing Exit

• Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
