Relief valve

To remove



1. Raise the car and remove the front right wheel.

2. Remove the plug from the timing cover.

3. Pull out the seal, spring and valve.


To fit



1. Clean all the parts.

2. Position the valve, spring and a new seal.

3. Tighten the plug.

Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft).

4. Fit the wheel.

Tightening torque: 110 Nm (81 lbf ft).

Lower the car to the floor.

5. Check the oil level. Top up if necessary.
