Before any action is taken, box B5 of the modification identity plate must be checked. If the box is filled in, proceed as follows.

Remove the centre emblem by pressing from behind.
|
|
4.
|
Clean the contact surface between the rim and the brake disc, removing dirt and any corrosion.
|
|
5.
|
Apply paste 30 06 442 to the hub.
|
Important
|
|
Make sure there is no grease on the contact surface between the rim and the brake disc.
|
|
|
|
|
6.
|
Apply oil to the bolt threads and the conic surface of the bolt.
|
|
7.
|
Hang the wheel in place.
Fit the bolts and tighten them alternately by hand to centre the wheel.
|
|
8.
|
Tighten the bolts alternately two times.
|
Important
|
|
The wheel must be suspended freely when tightening the wheel bolts.
|
|
|
Tightening torque 110 Nm (81 lbf ft).
|
|
9.
|
Fit the centre emblem.
|
|
10.
|
Repeat points 2-9 on the remaining wheels.
|
|
11.
|
Program the MIU with Tech 2 so that the speedometer and odometer show correct values.

Marking the modification identity plate
|
Upon completion of the procedure, box B5 of the modification identity plate must be marked. If the procedure is carried out by the importer, the box is marked with a "7". If it is carried out by the dealer, it is marked with an "8".
