The passenger airbag is offered as a factory-fitted option and is installed in the dashboard above the glove box on the passenger side. The passenger airbag is connected to pins 3 and 4 on the control module.
The cable carries test and detonation current from the SRS control module to the passenger airbag.
There is a gas generator in the passenger airbag. The gas generator is screwed on the airbag housing, which is in turn screwed to the dashboard. The airbag is kept in place by a plastic casing with scores in. Corresponding scores are present in the dashboard.

The gas generator consists of a steel housing, electric detonator, explosive charge and filter.
